Introduced in this mission is Grit, a Blue Moon CO who specializes in Indirect Combat with an increased Indirect Combat Range that increases when he uses his CO Power, Snipe Attack.

Also introduced: Unit Deployment and how War Funds play into that.

Capture the HQ or defeat all enemies to Rout Grit!

Gunfighter! is the second mission of Advance Wars' Campaign. You start with only five Units, but you have Bases, which are used to deploy Units every turn.

[edit] Strategy

Deploy additional Infantry to head North and stop the enemy and Infantry in that area near the Neutral Cities. If you fire on enemy units while they're capturing, they won't return fire, choosing to continue to capture the City instead.

Grit has an extended Indirect Combat range, so remember to check the Attack Range of both his Artillery and Rockets. Also, keep checking his CO Profile to see where his CO Power Meter is at; if it's full move your units two spaces outside of Artillery and Rockets range or those Units will take a beating!

Despite this, Grit isn't very good with Direct Combat. Take advantage of this and use deployed Tanks to fight back! Near his HQ are two Rockets and a Medium Tank to provide immediate protection. Overpower and rush the position with Tanks and Medium Tanks to take them all out!
