Explained in this mission is how an APC functions, including the Supply, Load and Drop commands. Indirect Combat is also explained for the first time, along with Fuel and Ammo.

[edit] Intel

APC ABCs is the fifth mission of Advance Wars' Field Training Mode. You start with nine Units compared to Olaf's eight, but this is the first mission in which Divide and Conquer tactics are used.

This mission debuts Transports in general and the APC in particular, along with how Indirect Combat Units work as you get to use an Artillery unit for the first time.

[edit] Strategy

This tutorial mission goes through the basics of an APC and Indirect Combat. Your Tank should focus on the Northern Front to block Olaf's Tanks while the Artillery fires away from behind the Tank, using the Tank to finish the attacker off. Use a Mech to support this front.

Send the other five Units-four Infantry and one Mech-south to battle the opposing Infantry and Mech that will try to capture the two neutral Cities. Be wary of the opposing Artillery's range.

Once both fronts are cleaned up you can use the Tank to chase down the Artillery or load the Mech onto the APC to go for the HQ.

An A Rank is the highest rank that can be attained during Field Training missions.
